It’s amazing that if President Buhari was to appoint you as a minister, everyone around you would be excited but if you became a pastor, everyone around you would look at you as though you signed up to a life of penury.
This misconception about men of God is a lie from the bottom of hell. The Bible tells us in psalm 24 that the earth and all those in it belongs to God. Let’s reason for a minute: you become an official to a man who presides over only one territory and people rejoice with you but when you are an official to the One who owns ALL territories people are sad for you???
Beloved, let me correct every kind of misconception that people have about God; God is a lavish God! You see there are many people who come around and tell you that they have been fasting and praying for the last 40 days but when you look at them, you can’t see any results. The Bible tells us that you shouldn’t even tell people you have been fasting or praying He says the God whom you pray to in SECRET will reward you OPENLY!
Matthew 6:6 but you, when you pray, enter into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly.
Anyone who comes to you with stories about praying and fasting did not really pray. What is the reward of a prayerful person? How do you know a true man of God? ANSWERED PRAYERS, REWARDS, UNDENIABLE BLESSINGS!
If your father was the richest man in the world and you are a true son of your Father, there will be wealth and riches in your house! You won’t be calling people and begging them for money! I need you to hear me loud and clear if you are a man of God and you are reading this: IT IS AN INSULT ON GOD FOR YOU TO BEG FOR MONEY! Why did you say so Adewale? Psalm 37:25 I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have NEVER seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.
If you have to beg for what to eat as a man of God or your children are hungry go and check yourself, something is not right! With all the angels assigned to you? With supernatural supply at your service? God may be taking you through a process but hunger is not one of the things God tests you with. You may not have money but God will keep you in beautiful houses, choice food on your table and beautiful clothes on your body!
The next time you meet someone who claims he is a man of God and he is telling you about praying for you and how long he has fasted please take a minute to look at him, does he look like someone whose prayers have been answered? If yes let him pray for you, if not walk away. God is a LAVISH God, I have tasted it and there is always more with God.
