Don't Focus on What You See

“ I am not mad o,  what kind of nonsense is this? Take your hands off me right now! “ The more Chris struggled the more aggressive they became.  Chris woke up that Saturday morning very depressed,  he had on a T shirt and jeans but he was lost in thoughts when he was leaving the house that he didn’t notice he was wearing two different kinds of slippers. He had not gone far when he was bundled into a bus and taken to Yaba Left,  the Psychiatric Hospital in Lagos.
Chris kept on telling the doctors that he wasn’t a lunatic but they didn’t believe him,  he also noticed that anytime he got angry,  it was as though he was affirming their thoughts so he made up his mind to be rational at all times.  The doctors always came in by 10 am everyday  to check on him, he ensured that he engaged them intelligently and 2 days later,  he was released.

Ladies and gentlemen,  in life you will see situations that are contrary to what God has told you, are you going to believe those situations or the Word of God?  The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 8:9.(NIV) For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Beloved you are rich regardless of whatever the situation around you is,  Jesus has paid the price,  He became poor so that you could become rich.  If you notice the Word said ‘might become rich’. I am convinced that word is there because you can look at the situation around you and not believe God’s Word.  Don’t believe what you see around you,  believe the Word!
Before God could fulfil the promise to Abram,  God had to change his name to Abraham which means ‘father of all nations’.  I can imagine that people must have laughed at the old man who believed he would have a child,  a man who was so old that he couldn’t even have an erection yet he believed God and called himself Abraham!  He didn’t focus on his condition,  he focused on God!

God may have told you that you are a billionaire and right now you don’t even have ten thousand Naira to your name.  What should you do? I will highlight two points :

1. Keep saying what God says you are: tell yourself everyday that you are rich and you are a billionaire.  The Bible says we should hold or keep saying what God has told us because He that has promised is faithful.
2. Act like a billionaire: Go to a car shop and price brand new cars,  find out the cost of land,  check out houses that are for sale,  get your passport ready,  apply for a visa. Learn how to walk, talk and behave like the future you desire and it will come to you!
Life will test you to see if you truly deserve to be blessed. When God sees your faith,  He will release the blessing! Faith is an action word,  act on what you believe!
My 20 year dream is to see the Gospel preached to a billion people through the social media. You too can be a social media evangelist, kindly share and repost this Gospel of Jesus Christ so that others can be blessed just like you have been blessed. Thank you for reading.
