Don't Ever Forget!

“How dare you?! Have you forgotten where we are coming from,  have you forgotten how we got here? You have the nerve to have a girlfriend,  you!  Where is the fear of God you once had and the passion with which you served Him?  Is it a crime that God blessed you ? Did He do wrong by taking you out of poverty? “ Leila said amidst tears in her eyes,  she just found out that her husband Tony had a girlfriend.
Tony looked at his wife and then he poured himself a glass of wine and said “There is a God in heaven but men are blessed by the work of their hands” Tony had not finished the statement when he began to gasp for breath,  in five minutes,  Tony was dead.  Leila couldn’t even cry because she knew exactly what happened, her husband had stopped acknowledging God and he had started giving glory to himself.

Ladies and gentlemen , if you are a child of God,  I want you to know today that whatever you lack most right now is what you will have most.  You may be struggling right now but I tell you, the future is BRIGHT,  so very bright!  The danger in your future is forgetting how you got so blessed,  it will get to a stage that everything you have will be in excess,  that is the time most people relax and begin to feel that things are happening by their own strength. The Bible gives a stern warning that you must never forget,  keep it in front of you for the rest of your life.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 8:11-20 (ESV) 11“Take care lest you forget the LORDyour God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today,12lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, 13and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, 14then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, 15who led you through the great and terrifying wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, 16who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end. 17Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’18You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 19And if you forget theLORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I solemnly warn you today that you shall surely perish.

Don’t EVER FORGET how you got to where you are,  may God help us all in Jesus name. Amen
