"I go worship my God o, I go shout Halleluyah". The praise and worship was going on and Jennifer was singing and dancing along but her mind was elsewhere.
She was staring at the human hair of the lady in front of her and wondering how much it cost, she was looking at the dance steps of the choristers, she was staring at the big screen in front of the church to see familiar faces, her mind was everywhere but in the praise and worship going on.
One of the biggest strategies of the devil today is distraction; he will distract you when the choir is singing and distract you as the word of God is being preached. If they asked you what you learned after the service you have nothing to say rather than "the service was powerful".
The first thing you should do when you get to church is to pray against distraction and broken focus, the devil wants you to remain the same that's why he distracts you, if he makes sure that you don't hear anything the pastor is saying and he also waters down your worship then you just came to spend time in church.
Keep church spiritual, don't go around gisting when you get to church, stay in the Spirit. The bible says in Galatians 5:16 (ESV) But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
