Dont Get Familiar with the Anointing

"Ahan, can't you remember Jesus? He is that carpenter that used to stay on Galilee street, he is the one that made this chair you are sitting on". I went out yesterday and I saw crowds of people following him, they say he heals people but me I can't go and meet him for anything even though my left leg needs urgent medical attention. Doctors say they will have to amputate it sooner or later. To me he will always be a carpenter, nothing more".
One of the biggest tragedies in life is caused by familiarity. The father who could not recognise the uncommon deposits God has stored in his son, the husband who cannot recognise the anointing on the life of his wife, brothers and sisters who could not see that their youngest brother would become the president of their country, colleagues at the workplace who did not know that one of them would become the boss.
Familiarity has robbed lots of people of their healing, promotion, financial freedom and many more. All of us were born but the truth is everyone has different destinies. Don't trivialise people because of what they are doing today. Jesus was a carpenter till he was 30 years old yet He was the saviour of the world. Your pastor may be your friend but if you trivialise the grace on his life, you will see many people get blessed and you will be on a spot.
The bible said about Jesus in Matthew 13:53-58 (NLT)
53When Jesus had finished telling these stories and illustrations, he left that part of the country. 54He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, “Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?” 55Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers—James, Joseph,f Simon, and Judas. 56All his sisters live right here among us. Where did he learn all these things?” 57And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him.
Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.” 58And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief.
When you see uncommon people around you, respect the grace they carry. They could be younger ones, former boyfriends/ girlfriends, husband, wives, friends etc. They are angels sent to you and I but if you look at them based on your past relationship with them, you will lose out. Recognise the grace and the anointing that the people around you carry and respect them for it. What grace does your wife, husband, brother, sister, friend carry? Make up your mind not to trivialise it, the results will amaze you.
