"Clear the way for the prince of Egypt, bow the knee to Moses son of Pharoah".
Moses remembered those days with sadness. How had he gone from being one of the most powerful men in the world to becoming a shepherd who lived with his father in law?
Life had been unfair to him, he was a failure. The average Egyptian would not even be a shepherd, it was the most humiliating job in the world and now here he was, a former prince of Egypt directing sheep all over the place.
As he pondered on these things, he saw a strange sight; the tree was on fire but it was not getting burnt. He decided to draw closer, as he did, he heard a voice "Moses, remove your sandals for the place you stand is holy ground. I am sending you to deliver my people in Egypt ". Moses protested and told God about his weakness but God told Moses "I will be with you". Moses left that place and went on to become one of the greatest men the world has ever known.
Are you going through an humiliating phase in your life? Do you feel like a failure? Have you tried to do good but it was rewarded with evil? Listen to me, God permitted it, He is preparing you for an amazing future. Moses was hot headed but God made him a shepherd for 40 years, it was a job he hated and had no patience for but in the process, he developed character, Moses was later described in the Bible as the meekest or most humble man on earth.
God will use something you find uncomfortable to teach you. It is in preparation for the great future He has for you, you will shine again, this is not the end of your life, your future is bright and blinding like the sun.
