Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving

"My sweet daddy, you are the best daddy in the world" Liz gushed as she wrapped her arms around her father. "Hmm, I know all these praises are not for nothing, okay tell me what you want" Desmond said with a glitter in his eyes.
Liz grinned "there is this new shoe my friends and I are planning to wear for our end of year party and then Amina and Nneka are going to London for the summer and I want to go with them" Liz looked expectantly at her father.
Desmond's heart was filled with love as he stared at his daughter , all he was doing was to make sure you that she never lacked anything, she would never go through any of the things he had to go through, as long as he was breathing and when he died, he had put plans in place to ensure that his daughter would never lack for the rest of her life.
"Okay darling, you can have the shoes and also go to London." Liz screamed excitedly and hugged her father "love you daddy, I will buy you chocolate with the money you give me" Desmond was pleased to make his daughter so happy.
Psalm 100:4 (NIV) says Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Whenever you want to make a request to God, come with thanksgiving and praise, there is a protocol for His presence. I know that there are desperate situations but the first thing that should come out of your mouth when you want to pray is "Thank You Jesus"! That was the first thing Jesus said when He fed the 5,000, it was the same thing, He said before He raised Lazarus from the dead.
After God has answered your prayers, spend time in praises and thanksgiving as well. Your attitude of gratitude is important to God. Play some praise and thanksgiving music as you pray this morning before you start asking God to bless your day. May your day be filled with favour. Amen
